Pedodontics word comes from Greek “pes” = child and “odontos” = teeth. Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry that deals with the specific treatment of temporary teeth (milk teeth) and young permanent teeth (just erupted).
Pedodontics doctors treat patients from infants to teenagers, the first consultation is being performed at the age of one and a half to two years to detect cavities early on.
